Famous Paper Dolls
Now that I have a granddaughter, I was wondering if paper dolls are still popular, and it turns out they are!
Here I have gathered lots of paper dolls of all kinds so any interest of any child will be represented. But if you still don’t see the ones you are looking for, click on any set of dolls to find more.
When I was little, our family moved all the time, sometimes 4 times in a year, due to my Father’s job in the Army. So we were not allowed to have many toys because they took up space when we moved. As a result we spent many a day and night doing art work, reading, and playing board games and cards, all things which required very little storage space.
So I had very few dolls, but I had paper dolls, lots of them. My Mother was artistic so she sometimes drew them for us, but we bought them too. I spent countless hours playing with them and figuring out cool outfits by cutting up the outfits given in the books, and rearranging them.
When interesting things happened in the news, frequently there would be paper dolls made to commemorate the people and events. That is how I integrated the news into my life. Otherwise it made no sense to my young mind. (Not that it makes any more sense now.)
I still think paper dolls are a fantastic activity for young children. They take up little room, and allow all sorts of creativity. And the famous people of today are still being made into paper dolls. What a great way to introduce current events.

Barbie Paper Dolls
Paper Doll Heaven
I never got into Barbie, but she’s still reeling them in. Barbie, that imaginary icon of 20th century plasticism. Lots of cute little Southern California outfits.
Flower Fairies Paper Dolls
Flowers and fairies. True fantasy artwork. My daughter and I probably wore out this set of paper dolls several times.
Snow White Paper Dolls
Still the Most Popular After All This Time
Even now Disney still rules fantasy realms everywhere. Snow White Paper Dolls are the most popular, so if you are still deciding, this little set is a good choice for the fairy tale princess in your life.
Frozen Elsa Paper Dolls
If anyone or anything can knock Snow White off the pedestal as the most popular it would have to be Elsa!
Fancy Nancy’s Paper Doll Book
I was (and am) a total girly girl, and used to color Fancy Nancy stuff all the time. If you’ve got a Fancy Nancy in your life, she will totally relate to the clothing in this book.

Now that Kate is the Duchess of Cambridge, her fashion choices are even more scrutinized than before. Alexander McQueen is the fashion house who designed her wedding gown and her party gown for later that day. So this paper doll set is likely to become collectible too.
John F. Kennedy and Family Paper Dolls
I think this set will be a collectible if it is not already. Sadly Caroline is the only member of this iconic family who is still around.
